High School Science/Math Teacher

Grace Christian Academy seeks a dedicated professional to provide differentiated math/science instruction while fostering a Christ-centered learning environment.

Qualifications:

● Bachelor's degree in Science, Mathematics, Education, Special Education, or a related field

● High school teaching experience

● Professing believer in Jesus Christ with a strong Christian faith and lifestyle

● Ability to articulate and integrate a biblical worldview in all aspects of teaching

Primary Responsibilities:

Instructional Support:

● Develop and implement engaging lessons that align with standards and curriculum goals

● Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of all students, with a particular focus on supporting those who struggle with math or science concepts

● Provide small group remediation for students needing additional support in math or science

● Apply appropriate accommodations to support student success

● Collaborate with other teachers to support student success

● Utilize various teaching methods and technologies to enhance student understanding and engagement

● Assess student progress regularly and use data to inform instructional decisions

● Maintain accurate records of student progress and supports

● Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and support strategies

Spiritual Leadership:

● Integrate biblical principles and a Christian worldview into all aspects of instruction and student interactions

● Model Christ-like behavior and foster spiritual growth in students

● Participate in school-wide spiritual activities and events

Professional Expectations:

● Collaborate effectively with colleagues, administrators, and parents

● Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in science or math education and differentiated instruction

● Maintain confidentiality regarding student information and records

● Contribute to a positive and supportive school culture

The successful candidate will be passionate about helping all students succeed in math or science, regardless of their initial skill level. They will be adept at breaking down complex concepts, providing additional support where needed, and inspiring a love for learning in their subject area while maintaining a strong Christian perspective
